I don’t have anything against gluten – as far as I know, my insides happily accept the stuff, but please, don’t hate my guts for it. I was born this way. Some people have a gluten intolerance or are basically horribly allergic to the stuff. That sucks. Some people also just eat gluten-free for the health benefits, of which I’ve researched literally none, but I’m sure there have to be many.

Coming to us today is a recipe from Marie of Lady Ace Kitchen. If you can conjure up the picture of health, it would probably be Lady Ace, or possibly Lady Ace’s baby, cause when I found myself in the deep rabbit hole of all her awesome videos the other day, the first one I watched was how to make your own baby food using natural ingredients. That is one lucky tot.

Anyhow Lady Ace features a shit ton of Gluten-Free and Vegan/Vegetarian recipes on her blog. If you are into that kind of thing (like me, on January 2), then you should pop on over and peruse. In the meantime you’re getting a taste of what you mind find over there with her Gluten Free Cranberry Oat Bars. They look super awesome, and you can’t even see they’re missing the gluten ;)

Scones. Not my favorite of breakfast breads — English Muffins, holla!! But, ok, if you add some cranberries, a little orange, a little egg nog (a little because, let’s be fair, in my world it’s mostly brandy), ok, maybe I’m in. And other people seem to like them – I mean, they sell them at Starbucks, you know somebody’s eating them.

Today’s recipe is brought to you by The Love Nerds, specifically Maggie of the The Love Nerds (there are two of them, one of them is her husband). If you haven’t guessed, it’s scones. Specifically, Cranberry & Orange Egg Nog Scones.

I bet you a million dollars my sister-in-law will ask me to make these for Christmas. And I probably will. If I do, I’ll update you, but in the meantime, let’s all thank Maggie for this scrumptious scone recipe!

White Cran Rosemary Christmas Sangria

I’ve made homemade, from-scratch sangria exactly one time in my life. It was for my BFF, Liz, on her birthday, and it took kind of a long time for a thirsty crowd. I think the worst part was that I had to make simple syrup on the stove…in August.

This sangria doesn’t require any simple syrup – just a bit of sugar. It looks so fantastic and refreshing!

Rosemary Cranberry White Sangria

Because sangria, as the author of the original post notes, is “pretty much chop, pour, stir, get drunk,”  I’m not going to list the ingredients. Please visit Stoned Kitchen for the full sangria recipe and instructions.
